Summer ART Camp

“Let’s Create What No One Has Created Before.”

Camp for Kindergarten through 5th Grade

"Use imagination to create your own world of fantasy through science fiction!"

FEE: $40/Art Center members or $45 non-member

PLEIN AIR PAINTING – OUTDOORS
Artists who are interested in meeting during the summer to paint outdoors, please call the Art Center of Battle Creek. If there is enough interest, we will plan the dates and outings!

THURSDAY OPEN STUDIO
Art Center Members are invited to work during open studio time on THURSDAYS from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the painting & ceramic studios.
Students must be confident to work independently, without an instructor. Open Studio is FREE to members currently enrolled in a class or with an $8.00 fee for members not presently enrolled in a class. Additional ceramics fees may apply.
Please sign in each week at the Art Center Gallery prior to attending the Open Studio.


Private Events

Plan your next teambuilding or recreation event with us. This is a wonderful opportunity for your team to work together in a relaxed, studio atmosphere with an experienced artist/instructor on either individual art pieces or a group work of art.

Workshops are available in both 2-D and 3-D Departments.

REGISTRATION POLICIES & PROCEDURES

Every attempt is made to inform students on the status of any classes they have signed up for before the semester begins. If you have a question, please call the Art Center at 269-962-9511.

REGISTRATION— To register call 269-962-9511 or register online with PayPal, stop in or mail registration with payment to the Art Center of Battle Creek, 265 E. Emmett St., Battle Creek, MI 49017. The instructor does NOT accept registrations in the classroom.
Registration is on a first come first serve basis. Payment is due in full at the time of registration. Registrations will be accepted until the second week of class if space is available. Classes that do not have a minimum of six (6) students one-week prior to the start of class, however, will be canceled.

REFUNDS—Refunds will be given ONLY when a registrant withdraws from a class AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR to the first class session. NO CASH REFUNDS WILL BE MADE. Refunds will be in the form of a check or through PayPal if that was the original method of payment. There are no refunds for missed class ses-sions. No refunds will be given after the first class session. A $10 service fee will be deducted from all refunds. Please allow one month from the date of request to receive you refund.

CANCELLATIONS—The Center reserves the right to cancel any class when there is insufficient enrollment (minimum of six (6) students per class). Registrants will be notified. Registration pays are not processed until we have the minimum number of students required. We will make every effort to reschedule a class when an instructor cancels but due to space and other classes we may be unable to reschedule.

INCLEMENT WEATHER—If the Center finds it necessary to close due to weather conditions, cancellation information will be found at 269-962-9511. Classes cancelled for inclement weather will be rescheduled whenever possible and every effort will be made to contact students by phone.

WAIT LISTS—When a class fills quickly, the Center will offer registrants the opportunity to be placed on a waiting list. Wait list students will be called when space becomes available or if there are enough stu-dents to offer another class section.
